WHAT ARENA SAID
He registered 15 goals and 11 assists for Milan across the 2023-24 campaign, while remaining a talismanic presence for his country, and former USMNT boss Arena has told when asked if Pulisic can become the American GOAT: “Christian, I think is potentially a better player than Landon. He isn’t yet, but potentially he should be. He’s shown it now in Italy.”

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Pressed further on what Pulisic needs to do in order to overtake Donovan, Arena – who has worked with both during his coaching career – added: “He has put some years together of quality. He’s getting there. No question about that.”

WHAT NEXT FOR PULISIC?
Pulisic has earned 66 senior caps for his country, scoring 28 goals, and – having already helped the USMNT to CONCACAF Nations League glory in 2024 – will be hoping to play a starring role when the Copa America gets underway in the States on June 20.
